Before, my hair was usually a super tangled mess of voluminous bun on the top of my head. My routine was to wash it once every 4 to 6 days (more often than that would totally kill it), dry it with the help of my diffuser (thus creating tangles galore), and throw it up in a bun on the top of my head. I had absolutely no desire or patience to do anything more with it than that. It was so heavy, I shed like crazy because of the tangles, and it was sooooooo hot. I can't begin to explain how hot and heavy it felt. It was miserable.
My hairdresser was amazing. She suggested thinning out the back a bit to remove some of the bulk and the asymmetrical length is exactly what I wanted. I love the shaved sides too. I feel like this haircut is totally ME and I love it so much :) I can't believe I went so long with hair I didn't feel comfortable in! I'm excited to go back in for regular appointments now!
What's the longest amount of time you've gone without a haircut?
